How to Lose Weight Naturally

In order to lose weight the natural way, we need to understand what natural means. To most of us natural means something which comes from or occurs in nature, which has not been interfered with by man. Of course this would apply to the food and drink that we consume daily.

One example of a natural weight loss programmed is the Paleolithic diet, also known as the cave man or hunter-gatherers diet, which encourages the consumption of foods that develop naturally, and avoiding manmade products. The Paleolithic diet includes lean meat, fish, fruit, vegetables, nuts and seeds, but does not permit the consumption of manmade dairy produce, grain products, and all refined processed foods. It also does not permit the consumption of manmade beverages such as sweetened fruit juices, sodas and of course alcoholic drinks.
This type of diet could be beneficial if we have a tendency to consume too many processed foods, but it can be quite restrictive in our modern age of fast convenience foods. It all depends on our personal preferences and on our weight loss goals.
Another natural weight loss option is to focus on how we can achieve weight loss, rather than focusing specifically on the foods that we eat. For example, instead of focusing on calorie counting, carbohydrate and fat intake, or following a strict, restrictive diet, a natural weight loss programmed may aim to reduce portion size, encourage us to eat healthier, and follow a daily exercise regime.
This type of diet and exercise plan would not enforce any strict rules. It basically aims to encourage us to follow our body's own intuition and wisdom.
We may not think that our body can give us indications of what effects the foods that we eat and drink have, but it certainly does. Our body constantly gives us feedback on various aspects of how our body reacts to numerous things including the foods that we eat and also the things that we do that impact our weight and general health and well-being.
Many health experts maintain that if we are overweight, it is a signal that our body is trying to telling us something. Usually this is an indication that our dietary choices and lifestyle habits are not satisfactory or beneficial to good health.
How can we tap into this natural intuition and wisdom? We need to pay attention and look for the signals our body is giving us. If we eat something that our body does not like, it lets us know by feelings of nausea, fatigue, indigestion, sluggishness, or through other physical or emotional signs. Alternatively when we treat our body well, we will enjoy positive advantages such as increased energy levels, healthy weight loss, and an intense sense of well-being.
